90+ Days Out: FCT Primary Healthcare Workers Strike

The shutdown of Primary Healthcare Centres in the FCT is a health crisis. With these PHCs closed for months, families are being forced to either spend more on private healthcare or go without essential medical care entirely. This situation is not only dire but also avoidable.
The consequences are far-reaching: health workers are becoming increasingly frustrated, which may lead to them leaving the system; communities are losing trust in public services; and inequality is deepening as those who cannot afford private care are left behind. Livelihoods are being weakened, and lives are being put at risk. Health is a fundamental human right, and it is imperative that we prioritize the welfare of PHC workers and find a solution to this crisis.
Let us not wait until it is too late. The time to act is now. We demand action from the relevant authorities to address the concerns of PHC workers and ensure the continuity of healthcare services in the FCT.
