Happy Africa’s Women’s Day

IRIAD and The Electoral Hub on the occasion of African Women’s Day 2023, celebrate and honor the remarkable contributions of African women across the continent. This day serves as a reminder of the indispensable role that women play in shaping the social, economic, and political landscape of Africa.

As we commemorate this important day, we acknowledge the progress made in advancing women’s rights and gender equality in many African countries. Yet, we also recognize the numerous challenges that persist, hindering the full realization of women’s potential and empowerment.

We call upon all governments, policymakers, and stakeholders to unite in a concerted effort to address the following critical issues: Gender-Based Violence, Women’s Political Participation, Ending Discrimination against Women, etc.
We pledge our commitment to advocating for women’s rights and fostering a continent that truly values and uplifts its women.
