International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women 2025
Today, on the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, we reaffirm our collective responsibility to end all forms of gender-based violence, including the fast-growing threat of digital violence.
This year’s theme, “Unite to End Digital Violence Against Women and Girls,” reminds us that safety must extend beyond physical spaces. Across social media, messaging platforms, and online communities, women and girls face harassment, exploitation, threats, and hateful speech that undermine their dignity, silence their voices, and restrict their full participation in society.
Every woman and girl has the right to safe, inclusive digital spaces, free from intimidation and harm.
