International Human Solidarity Day 2025

International Human Solidarity Day, observed annually on December 20, was established by the United Nations to reaffirm the power of solidarity as a driving force for global progress. It reminds us that our challenges and achievements are deeply interconnected and that sustainable solutions are born from cooperation, empathy, and collective action, not isolation.
This day underscores the urgent need for unity in confronting shared global challenges such as poverty, marginalisation, exclusion, injustice, and conflict. It calls on governments, institutions, and individuals alike to work together to build inclusive, just, and resilient societies where no one is left behind.
Human dignity flourishes when we stand together. Solidarity is not only a moral imperative, it is a practical pathway to sustainable development, social justice, and lasting peace.
