IRIAD-The Electoral Hub commemorates the International Day of Peace (IDP) today September 21, 2023. IDP is set aside to promote Peace by observing 24-hour period of non-violence. This year’s theme ‘Actions for Peace: Our Ambition for the #GlobalGoals‘ calls for individual and collective efforts to promote peace in our Society, Nation and the World at large.
At IRIAD we are committed to promoting peace and we pursue this through our Women, Peace and Security (WPS) program which aims at localizing the United Nations Security Council Resolution on Women, Peace and Security (UNSCR1325).Achieving peace is a collective responsibility. Therefore, let us all wherever we maybe in the World be an advocate of peace, as it is only then we can achieve global peace.
