The timeline for the appointment of Ministers by the President is clearly stated in Section 147(7) of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, as amended. Deadline July 28.
We call on the President to comply with this provision to ensure effective governance. We also remind him to ensure his Cabinet meets the minimum 35% women political inclusion as contained in the National Gender Policy and international instruments that Nigeria has signed and ratified.
