World Environment Day 2025

In 2025, global plastic consumption is projected to reach 516 million tonnes, with only 9% being recycled (UN Environment Programme – UNEP).
Each year, approximately 11 million tonnes of plastic leak into aquatic ecosystems, while 13 million tonnes accumulate in our soils (UNEP).
Microplastics have been detected in human lungs, arteries, and even breast milk, posing serious health risks.
If current trends continue, plastic leakage into the environment is expected to increase by 50% by 2040 (UNEP).
Collective action is our only path to a sustainable future. It is time to advocate for lasting solutions to #BeatPlasticPollution!
