International Widows’ Day 2025
On this International Widows’ Day, we stand in solidarity with widows in Nigeria and around the world. No woman should be subjected to discrimination, dehumanising cultural practices, or social exclusion because of the loss of a spouse.
At IRIAD, we envision an inclusive and equitable society where every woman, regardless of her marital status, is valued, empowered, and protected.
It is time to end harmful widowhood practices and ensure that no woman is left behind.
