FLOOD ALERT: STAY INFORMED, STAY PREPARED

The Federal Ministry of Environment has issued a flood prediction for July 16–20, 2025.

The following areas are at risk of heavy rainfall and possible flooding: Mubi, Edor, Upenekang, Oron, Eket, Ngala, Maiduguri, Azare, Bauchi, Itas, Jos, Bukuru, Mangu, Daura, Kano, Kunchi, Gezawa, Dutse, Calabar, Gusau, and others (see full list in graphics).

If you live in or near these locations:

• Clear your gutters and drainages

• Avoid dumping waste in waterways

• Move valuables to higher ground

• Be ready to evacuate if needed
