On this African Women’s Day 2026, IRIAD affirms:
Safe sanitation, peaceful communities, and better livelihoods are not privileges, these are RIGHTS.
Across Africa, women stand on the frontline of community well-being. Yet too often they face violence, insecurity, and lack their basic needs.
1. Safe Sanitation: Clean water and dignified toilets protect women and girls from health risks and gender-based violence.
2. Peaceful Communities: Women lead peacebuilding, dialogue, and resilience.
3. Better Livelihoods: Women’s Economic empowerment strengthens families and builds sustainable futures.
Let us end SGBV, invest in safe sanitation, fund women initiatives and issues, and create economic opportunities.
