International Youth Day 2026
Theme: Different Contexts, Common Aspirations
Young people come from diverse backgrounds, communities, and cultures but across these differences, they share common aspirations for opportunity, inclusion, peace, decent work and a better future.
This International Youth Day, we recognise that young people may face different realities from unequal access to quality education and the employment to gaps in digital access, inclusion and meaningful participation in decision-making.
Yet, our aspirations remain connected.
Every young person deserves access to quality education, decent work and economic opportunities, peace and security, equity and inclusion, meaningful participation in decision-making, and a sustainable and prosperous future.
Our Call to Action
Governments: Create inclusive policies and expand opportunities for young people.
Policymakers: Ensure young voices are represented in decision-making.
Private Sector: Invest in youth skills, entrepreneurship and decent employment.
CSOs: Amplify diverse youth voices and promote meaningful participation.
Young People: Engage, lead, innovate and advocate for the future you want.
At IRIAD, we believe that when young people are empowered, included and given meaningful opportunities to participate, they can drive positive change and shape a more inclusive and prosperous future.
Different Contexts. Common Aspirations. Shared Future.
Happy International Youth Day 2026!
