Courtesy visit of the FCT Chapter of the 100 Women Lobby Group
The Electoral Hub led the courtesy visit of the FCT Chapter of the 100 Women Lobby Group to Mrs. Bimbo Oladunjoye, Administrative Secretary of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Office on Wednesday, March 19, 2025. The delegation was led by Ms. Princess Hamman-Obels, Coordinator of the FCT Chapter of 100 Women Lobby Group and Director of IRIAD -The Electoral Hub.
During the visit, Ms. Hamman-Obels congratulated Mrs. Oladunjoye on her appointment as INEC’s Administrative Secretary for FCT, highlighting the significance of this development in enhancing women’s leadership in election management. The group expressed its willingness to collaborate with the INEC FCT Office as it plans and prepares for the forthcoming 2026 FCT Area Council Election, particularly in the areas of Voter Registration, Publicity and Voter Education, and Women Participation.
As part of their mission, the FCT 100 Women Lobby Group emphasized that, as women working for women, women’s agenda would be their focal point for engagement and collaboration.
In response, Mrs. Oladunjoye expressed her sincere appreciation for the visit. She mentioned that knowing she has the support of the FCT 100 Women Lobby Group gives her confidence in carrying out her responsibilities as the Administrative Secretary. Furthermore, she noted that with the support of the group and collaborations, she believes that the forthcoming Area Council elections in the FCT will be a success.
