Digital Inclusion for the Politically Marginalised

Digital Inclusion for the Politically Marginalised
In today’s digital democracy, access to political participation should not be a privilege; rather, it should be a right for every Nigerian, regardless of location, gender, or age.
Yet, barriers persist:
🏡 Rural residents face limited internet access and weak digital infrastructure
🚺 Women are excluded due to socio-cultural and economic inequalities
💻 Cyberbullying affects women, limiting their freedom to engage in online political spaces
⚠️ Digital violence against women and girls silences voices and deters civic participation
👵 Elderly citizens struggle with digital literacy and the usability of tech tools
To ensure equity, Nigeria must adopt inclusive policies, improve infrastructure, and promote digital literacy across all regions and demographics.
Political participation must be universal, both offline and online. Let’s close the digital gap🇳🇬
