International Widows Day

Behind every widow is a tale of loss, hardship, discrimination, survival and hope. Today being International Widow’s Day, IRIAD – The Electoral Hub acknowledge the struggles of widows worldwide as we urge all to act toward allaying their troubles and supporting them.

The rights of widows should be respected by all and sundry. We call for an end to harmful widowhood practices and dehumanizing traditional practices.
