WOMEN'S RIGHTS & HEALTH
IRIAD promotes women’s rights, dignity, wellbeing and bodily autonomy by increasing access to information,
advocacy and engagement on issues affecting women’s health throughout their Lifecyle. IRIAD work is anchored on Article 14 of the Maputo Protocol which guarantees every African woman her rights to health, including
sexual and reproductive health, and the National Reproductive Health Policy.
IRIAD advocate on women health issues including menstrual hygiene, menopause, contraception, infertility, reproductive health and reproduction through public education, awareness creation, research, advocacy and
policy engagement with relevant institutions and stakeholders. IRIAD seeks to address misinformation, stigma and barriers to information and services while promoting policies and systems that support women’s health, wellbeing and informed decision-making.
